The Reverend Wesley L Fifita 

I was born and raised on Tonga Island in an Anglican family. After leaving high school in Tonga, I attended the University of Auckland and completed a BA, majoring in history and minoring in philosophy. I further attended Unitec New Zealand and obtained a postgraduate diploma in social practice. I worked for a non-profit community organization for five years and then joined the New Zealand Corrections Department. My last officer post was at Auckland District Courts in Auckland City and Panmure. It was in these fields of work that my call to ordination became very genuine. I had a sense of belonging that God had been calling me to ordination for some time, and, prayerfully, I tested that call and was discerned to train for ordination in 2021.

I am blessed to be married to Viola, and I am also a proud father to four boys. We are prayerfully supportive of these God-gifted children so that they continue to grow and to tell the glory of God wherever their lives may bring.
